Österreichisch-Serbisches Wirtschaftsforum

Since 2010

An association that connects economic regions

The Austrian Serbian Economic Forum is a non-profit, non-partisan and independent association based in Vienna. We bring together companies, investors and business leaders from Austria, Serbia and Republika Srpska.

How we see ourselves

What sets us apart

Economic ties between two countries are not built on declarations of intent. They arise when real people with real plans find the right counterparts — and when someone makes sure those meetings actually happen.

The ÖSW is deliberately not a consultancy. We do not sell expert reports or market entry strategies. Nor are we a public authority or a lobbying body in the usual sense. We are an Association — sustained by its members, non-profit, non-partisan and independent.

This independence is not a formality. It is the reason why conversations happen at our events that would not take place elsewhere: because no one at the table has a commercial interest of their own in the outcome.

Reach

Three economic regions, one network

Our work covers Austria, Serbia and Republika Srpska — regions whose economies are more closely linked than the political map suggests.

Austria

The seat of the association and access to the EU single market. For companies from the region it is often the first step into Europe — with the corresponding requirements for standards and supporting documents.

Serbia

A growing market with its own legal system outside the EU. Those who understand the conditions find opportunities that were taken long ago in saturated markets.

Republika Srpska

A distinct economic area with close ties to Serbia and growing interest in Austrian partners and technology.

Our objectives

Four tasks we want to be judged by

01

Connecting business

We bring companies, investors and business leaders from both economic areas to the same table — in a setting that makes conversations beyond protocol possible.

02

Opening markets

We support companies entering the other market and shorten the route to the right contacts, authorities and partners.

03

Strengthening relations

We strengthen bilateral economic relations for the long term — across economic cycles and political terms of office.

04

Creating visibility

We take our members’ concerns to where they are heard: to business, public administration and politics in both countries.

Become part of the network

Whether you are entering a market, looking for partners or strengthening your position in both economies — it starts with a conversation.
