The Austrian Serbian Economic Forum has supported two entrepreneurs in founding a new studio for cosmetics and skin care in Lower Austria. Before numerous guests from business and public life, and in the presence of Matthias Stadler, mayor of St. Pölten, “2A DERMA CONCEPT” opened in Pottenbrunn on 10 October.

Two founders with a background in care

Florentina-Alexandra Straninger and Elena Amalia Ilie run the studio together, realising their entrepreneurial vision. The two cousins are qualified nurses with many years of professional experience: Straninger has worked in medical and psychiatric care for 16 years, Ilie for ten years at the University Hospital St. Pölten, among other things in wound management. Both have specialised in device-based and problem-oriented cosmetics. That experience with hygiene and with skin is the basis of their concept: the health of the skin comes first.

The studio works to its own concept, “Medical-Inspired Skincare”. Every treatment starts with a personal consultation and a skin analysis, from which an individual treatment plan follows. What it offers ranges from facial treatments, chemical peels and microneedling through anti-ageing to treatments for acne and pigmentation disorders and electrolysis for permanent hair removal. The studio is in a health centre with a pharmacy and doctors’ practices at Hauptstraße 65–67 in Pottenbrunn, a few minutes from St. Pölten; it has been open to clients since 17 October, by appointment (2a-derma.at).

Support from the forum

Throughout the founding and build-up phase the two entrepreneurs had the backing and advice of the ÖSWF. A key role was played by Suzan Kesić, board member responsible for strategy and international cooperation.

Together with Stefan Bodiroža, Head of Marketing, who worked concretely on the brand identity and the marketing, she guided the founders through questions of business positioning and networking. Vice-president Zoran Subašić and board member Julia Ecker, an entrepreneur and expert in communications and public relations, were also at the opening.

The forum works on closer economic ties, on international networking and on advancing entrepreneurial undertakings. As a platform it brings together companies, institutions and individuals from different fields, fosters economic partnerships and helps new business ideas come about.

The celebration was opened by Julia Ecker. Among the guests was Matthias Stadler, mayor of St. Pölten, the capital of Lower Austria. Alongside the forum’s representatives, many other guests from business and beyond attended.

500 euros for a women’s shelter in St. Pölten

Besides the launch of the business, the evening had a charitable side. A charity raffle raised 500 euros for a women’s shelter in St. Pölten, with the entire proceeds donated. The founders handed the money over the same evening to Rita Fellner, a social worker at the shelter, who was at the opening.

With that gesture the two founders tied their entrepreneurial start to concrete help for women and children in difficult circumstances.

We wish both founders a good start.
