Österreichisch-Serbisches Wirtschaftsforum

Since 2010

An association that connects economic regions

The Austrian Serbian Economic Forum is a non-profit, non-partisan and independent association based in Vienna. We bring together companies, investors and decision-makers from Austria, Serbia and Republika Srpska.

How we see ourselves

Who we are

The ÖSWF brings together entrepreneurs, investors and institutions from Austria, Serbia and Republika Srpska. We host forums, business breakfasts and networking evenings, organise delegation visits and support programmes such as Fit4Austria, in which companies from Republika Srpska hold B2B meetings in Austria and receive a WIFI International certificate from the Austrian Economic Chamber.

The Forum is supported by its members: companies and organisations as well as individuals. The ÖSWF is non-profit, non-partisan and independent. We do not sell consulting; we bring the right people together.

Every member joins one or more of our eight sectors, from banking and insurance to tourism. This is how companies from the same industry in both markets meet through us.

Reach

Three economic regions, one network

We work in Austria, Serbia and Republika Srpska: with events in Austria and in Republika Srpska, and with delegation visits, for example to Belgrade.

Austria

Home of the association in Vienna. For companies from the region often the way into the EU single market, with its requirements for standards and certification.

Serbia

EU candidate country with its own legal system. Austria has been one of the largest investors there for years.

Republika Srpska

One of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its own government and close ties to Serbia. Our forum on Jahorina took place here, and companies from Semberija were guests at our business breakfast in Vienna.

Our objectives

Our four core objectives

01

Connecting business

We bring companies, investors and business leaders from both economic areas to the same table, at our events and in personal conversation.

02

Opening markets

We support companies entering the other market and shorten the route to the right contacts, authorities and partners.

03

Strengthening relations

We strengthen bilateral economic relations for the long term, across economic cycles and political terms of office.

04

Creating visibility

We take our members’ concerns to where they are heard: to business, public administration and politics in both countries.

Become part of the network

Whether you are entering a market, looking for partners or building new contacts in both economies: get in touch.
