Henkel operates worldwide with leading brands and technologies in the three business areas of detergents / cleaning agents, cosmetics / personal care and adhesive technologies. The company, founded in 1876, holds leading global market positions in consumer and industrial business with well-known brands such as Persil, Schwarzkopf and Loctite. Henkel CEE is the market leader in hair cosmetics and adhesives as well as surface technology and holds a top position with detergents, cleaning agents and cosmetics brands. The company is responsible for 32 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and parts of Asia. In 2009, the company had around 9,500 employees and generated sales of 2.230 billion euros.

With a production output of around € 3 billion in 2009 and 12,000 employees, the PORR Group is one of the largest construction companies in Austria and with locations both in German-speaking countries and in the economically prosperous countries of Eastern Europe. The PORR Group sees itself as a full-service provider with excellent competencies in all areas of the construction industry – its range of services extends from traditional general contractor activities to civil engineering, road construction, tunneling, environmental technology, building construction and renovation work, through to project development and real estate management.

Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) regards Austria, where it operates as a leading commercial and investment bank, and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as its home market. SWIETELSKY Baugesellschaft mbH is one of the most important companies in the Austrian construction industry with over 6,000 employees. SWIETELSKY’s activities cover all areas of construction: from railway construction, road construction, civil engineering to bridge construction, tunnel construction and building construction. General contractor services, foundation engineering, building in the mountains, sports facilities, leisure facilities, environmental technology, PPP projects and the production of asphalt and concrete are further business areas of the company. There are branches in all Austrian provinces as well as in 12 other European countries. In fiscal year 2007/08, sales of 1.3 billion euros were achieved.

The company was founded in 1935 under the name “Tigar Obuća” (“Tiger clothing”). The goal was, among other things, the production of work clothing made of rubber. The first big wave of success came around 1945 for the company. This was followed by the specialization in the production of rubber work boots, which turned out to be particularly attractive in 1985 for the Swedish company “Lindstrom & Nilson”. The great Scandinavian demand for rubber boots brought Tigar another growth spurt and led to a technical cooperation between the two companies. The current production program includes the production of all-purpose boots, leisure boots (for fishermen and hunters) and boots as protective clothing.

Bank Austria has been a member of UniCredit, one of the largest European banking groups, since 2005. It can look back on more than 150 years of tradition and experience. The nationwide network with around 300 branches in Austria employs around 7,900 people. During the recent financial and economic crisis, Bank Austria was able to demonstrate its financial strength and was the only major Austrian bank to dispense with the use of state capital aid. Bank Austria is UniCredit’s hub for its banking network in Central and Eastern Europe, where the entire group is the clear market leader and has around 3,800 branches in 19 countries.

The UNIQA Group Austria is one of the leading insurance groups in Central Europe and consciously combines Austrian identity with a European format. In Austria, UNIQA is the leading insurance group with a market share of around 22% and more than 6,000 employees. In addition to the listed group parent company UNIQA Versicherungen AG, it also includes UNIQA Sachversicherung AG, UNIQA Personenversicherung AG, Raiffeisen Versicherung AG, Salzburger Landes-Versicherung AG, CALL DIRECT Versicherung AG, FinanceLife Lebensversicherung AG as well as service and finance companies. The approximately 30 operating insurance companies of the UNIQA Group work in 20 markets. They currently have a premium volume of EUR 5.8 billion. Of these, over 38% are generated outside of Austria.

The Vienna Insurance Group is a listed, internationally active insurance group based in Vienna. With a premium volume of EUR 8.6 billion and around 25,000 employees, the Vienna Insurance Group is one of the largest players on the insurance market in Central and Eastern Europe and the leading insurer in Austria. The Vienna Insurance Group share is listed on the Vienna and Prague stock exchanges. The Vienna Insurance Group has been active in Serbia with Wiener Städtische osiguranje since 2002. Overall, the company is in fourth place in Serbia and number 2 in life insurance. Wiener Städtische osiguranje currently employs approx. 1050 employees.

Founded in 1951, Energoprojekt has developed into a complex company that is represented in Serbia with 18 locations and a further 40 branches abroad. Over the past 59 years, the company has proven itself primarily in the areas of energy, industry, architecture, infrastructure, environment and technology in the information sector. Energoprojekt Holding has implemented numerous important projects in the hydroelectric sector (dams, hydroelectric power plants, irrigation, drainage), such as the headquarters of Đerdap I near Kladovo or the dam and the electricity plant of Bajina Bašta. Major projects also include the construction of thermal power plants. For example, two power plants were built in Qatar outside of Serbia.

Siemens AG Austria is one of the leading technology companies in the country. Business activities are concentrated in the three areas of industry, energy and health. Siemens has stood for technical performance, innovation, quality and reliability in Austria for more than 130 years. Siemens AG Austria employs around 8,600 people. In fiscal year 2009/10, Siemens AG Austria achieved order intake of around 2.5 billion euros, and sales were over 2.4 billion euros. Within the global group, Siemens Austria assumes responsibility for the Siemens cluster “Central Eastern Europe” (CEE), which comprises 19 countries. Siemens Corporate Technology for the CEE region based in Vienna is an important location on the research map of the worldwide Siemens group. The entire CEE cluster employs over 40,000 people who generated sales of EUR 8.8 billion in the past financial year.
